That would have to be Oxygen....with out it I would be dead...;)
-
Silver... I have my reasons.
-
I like neon because it gives out some cool light.
-
Suprise!
-
Galium A metal that melts in your hand.
-
The element of the wind and air that I breathe
-
Cobalt
-
water.........it calms refreshes and revitalises
-
Oxygen. I've grown quite attached to it over the years, and pine when it's not about.
-
rubidium (Rb) because it is the most reactive with water. When even a little of it is added onto a container of water, it reacts VERY violently and causes an explosion.
-
Molybdenum because it's fun to say and fun to spell and I once found a Molybdenum mine in Colorado.
-
Au, let me see. Periodically I always wanted to have gold on my table. http://www.webelements.com/webelements/elements/text/Au/key.html
-
Life.. no seriously, Oxygen
-
Oxygen is necessary (duh). Beyond that I have always loved gold, as a color and a metal.
-
Earth, wind and fire.
-
Einsteinium
-
Nitrogen. When it is in its liquid state it is really cool...
-
I like tantalum, it sounds like a jungle spider!
-
Gold
-
Have to take the 5th.
-
Magnesium- I love to watch it burn!
-
Cobalt...I just like the way it sounds, and it's also somewhat my favorite shade of blue.
-
fire is my favorite element.
-
Carbon. Because everything that lives is made of it. By the way, I also like the diamond form... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carbon
-
Sorry, I have two favourites water and air. :-)
-
I like magnesium (Mg) because it is a bit like me. Normally it is extremely stable but if you do enough to excite it then the reaction is rapid and violent.
-
My favorite element is Silver. I recently performed an experiment to isolate silver from AgCl to obtain elemental silver. It is very photgentic(reacts with light) so it looks purple when you see it and turns grey in the next few days.
-
The one in my coffee maker. I think I will switch it on in order that it might exite the water molecles which in turn will cause them to infuse lovely coffee!
-
I am a lot of carbon, nitrogen, oxygen, and hydrogen. I do have small amounts of iron, zinc, and a score of other elements, though.
-
Carbon, oxygen, and hydrogen.
-
Fire! I assume we're not being too literal here. Fire because I like to burn bright. I like to feel the wind make me roar and turn water to steam. I like to simmer in the coals and burn bright again with a little coaxing. Too much rain on my parade puts me out... to live again when needed to leap and dance with joy.
-
wind cause i like to be gentle but i have a more forceful side and i like to be wild and uncontrolable able to go were ever i wish to go
-
Fire, according to astrology Fire, according to my personality - vital, restless and not a big fan of big-winded people or people who rain on my parade. :-)
-
By Chinese elements I am Earth
-
As a Gemini, my Zodiac element is AIR.
-
fire mostly and some stagnant festering water. in constant turmoil and harmony at the same time.
-
I'm so totally made up of the Liminiferous Aether : P
-
I love fire! I don't play with it, but it always feels right to be around it... like a campfire or something... I think that fire comes the closest to my personality because I can be gentle and warm, or I can get very destructive... just depends...

Carbon from what I can remember from Science 101, Carbon is one of the (if not the) most unique elements. Many things are made of carbon bonded with (I think) hydrogen. Things like plastics, some metals, and organic material (that means you). Any way, carbon is my favourite element. for the record- im not sure how much of this is accurate. I'm pretty sure it all is, but dont blame me if it's wrong. Also, if you know something is wrong please comment and tell me what is wrong along with the right answer (if you have it). Hope this was helpful, or at least thought provoking. :-)
-
Carbon, theres a whole brach of chemistry dedicated to this one little guy, Its the goldilocks of all elements
-
Oxygen. ... with carbon coming in a close second place ...
-
Nickel...cause the symbol is: Ni, The Knights who say
-
berillium :)
-
Lithium! because it is the name of my favorite song by Nirvana!
-
Gold
-
oxygen. Wouldn't get far without it!
-
Carbon... with out it we would not exist!!! But I also hated it in college...organic chemistry, I hated carbon chains...lol
-
Not my favourite but the element with chemical number 5 is tedious (sad chemistry joke there)
-
Fire and air
-
Mercury I love the way Mercury can make an old dime look like it is brand new.
-
Hydrogen, with it's enormous capabilities and interesting properties, the fact that it comes first and is the most abundant. Three cheers for Hydrogen!
-
Uhh... Radon
-
I like francium. It is an alkali metal and is also radioactive. But I also like einsteinium.
-
Sodium and Potassium, Francium would be up here but unfortunately I can't get hold of any!:(
-
im a physicist, so i like hydrogen im a human, so i like carbon im an american, so i like plutonium :o
-
Great Question! And my favorite element is Plutonium, just shown as my nickname, because I like its uses. It is used as explosive material that will be mixed to bombs.

I'd have to say carbon as all natural life forms are made of it and most energy comes from it. If the universe was indeed created by a god (and i aint saying it was), then carbon was clearly his/her element of choice. I dont know why that was, but if it's good enough for "god", it's good enough for me! CARBON ALL THE WAY!!!
