  • You may need to do a partial water change. You must siphon out at least 1/3 to no more than 2/3 of the water and replace it with distilled water. Add an algae treatment to the new water and some of the stuff you add when you add new fish. It's light blue in color but I can't remember the name. If you have added any rocks or decorations lately then they may be making the tank cloudy. Also if the water is too warm or gets too much light it will get cloudy. I hope this helps. PS be careful not to suck out a fish. This happened to me and I was siphoning my water out of the second story window. It was very sad.
  • It could be a bacterial bloom or an algae bloom. How long has the tank been up? How deep is the gravel? And when you did the partial, did you actually vacuum the gravel bed, and if so, how much of the gravel bed? Feel free to email me. My email is in my profile. I can help. :o)
