<h4 class="dechead">On One Hand: Noxzema Anti-Blemish Pads Work for Acne
Noxzema has developed a product called Anti-Blemish Pads for getting rid of acne and preventing new breakouts. Anti-Blemish Pads also exfoliate the skin to unclog pores. The pads contain 2 percent salicylic acid, eucalyptus, menthol and camphor.
On the Other: Original Noxzema Does Not Work
Noxzema's original purpose was to give skin a deep-down cleanse. While the original Noxzema removes dirt and oil from normal skin, it does not have the active acne-fighting ingredient that the Anti-Blemish pads do, namely salicylic acid. The original Noxzema contains only eucalyptus, menthol and camphor.
Bottom Line
People with acne need to use products specifically designed to get rid of acne. While washing the face is one step in removing acne, they should also use a product with an active acne-fighting ingredient such as salicylic acid. However, products containing this ingredient should not be overused because they can irritate the skin.
