i JOG not RUN 4+ miles every morning
-
Yep, do it all the time (I'm up to about 12 right now, hopefully will get to 26 in 2 months for my marathon)
-
Well, I've done it many times before, because we've been forced to in P.E. I was pretty tired afterwards to say the least
-
Nope. I only did that in high school because I had to... I haven't run since, and I'm not sorry.
-
I am fit but have not trained my body for that distance.
-
I don't run, unless it is for my life.
-
does the eliptical machine at the gym count as running? in which case, yes, i can run a few miles, while watching all the skinny people on t.v.
-
No I could not run without stopping
-
Maybe, but it'd be the last thing I ever did.
-
Yes I proudly can say Yes
-
No, I get out of breath by the time I reach the end of the drive, which is a few metres.
-
Yuppers! I couldn't in Dec. but I've been working out everyday since, and I can do it now.
-
That depends entirely upon what is chasing me. If nothing big, ugly, and scary is chasing me - no.
-
yes, i can run about 2 miles as long as i get to jog in between
-
nope!
-
Yes. But I would be gasping and very red.
-
I can run about 8 without stopping... not to brag or anything ;)
-
No, I am so out of shape I can't even get up without feeling a little winded. That is really bad, I think. When my metabolism starts dying I am going to get realllly fat.
-
easy....but try running 2 miles straight in under 13 mins....we do it 5 days a week...GO ARMY!!!
-
YES ... been there done that ... in 1988 I was one of Canada's many Olympic Torch Bearers for the Calgary Winter Olympics. Back when I was in the military, we would put on a backpack with 65lbs. of rocks, then wade into a small river - up to our necks - hold our rifles at the high port arms, and run upstream for 3 kms. just to get to the obstacle course, which we would then immeadiately run without having had a chance to rest ... As a martial arts instructor, I am in above average physical condition and am able to run fairly long distances with no problems.
-
Yes (jogging)
-
yes I can say I can now and it makes me very happy! I just tore my ACL about 7 months ago and it got me really out of shape to the point i couldn't run a quarter mile before i had to stop but now that i have worked and worked and worked i have got back into shape!
-
Well yeah i believe anyone can as long as they put the effort to try and don't give up. a lot of people boost their confidence and make them feel proud that they can accomplish something that big.
-
Yes, and can you do it under 5 mins?
-
no I would have to run a while and walk a while and then run again.
-
Yep - did a 10 mile running race through the mountains just last weekend. How did it go, you ask? It had its ups and downs.... ;-)
-
i can, but il be gasping for breath at the end. im not really the running type of guy, but if i have to i can.
-
Quite a few of them
-
I get winded tying my shoes, so no, not for a few years now.
-
Yup! I enjoy running and do it on a regular basis.
-
Yes, i can run 10 miles without stopping.. but be careful at increasing your distance, if you run too much too quickly you can get injured. I got achilies tendonitis and it prevented me from doing my half marathon back in april.
-
I run a few marathons a year, so yes, I can run a mile. I'll be in the San Francisco and New York Marathons this year. It sounds crazy to people who have never ran or just haven't done it in a long time, but nothing feels better. It puts you in a good mood, it's peaceful, clears your thoughts....it's also great for your body. The best part about running is that almost anyone can do it. You might start by walking more than running, but the body's ability to improve as you challenge it is truly amazing. Set a goal...a 5k run in 3 or 4 months or something....train...and do it. It's more rewarding than watching TV, sitting on the internet or working an hour of overtime -- and I promise you won't regret any part of the struggle once you cross the finish line.
-
Yes, the key to running a fast mile is to find your pace. Use a calculator to divide your estimated finishing time and then divide that by 4(depending on the size of the track.) This will be your 400m time. Divide this by two to get your 200m time. Before you run the mile, start off running your pace by doing 4X200m.
-
Yes, after three though I can't go much further. Getting better though.
-
Yes, I'm not that good at running though.
-
I coudn't do it
-
i used to be able to easily run five, but after i had my son i quit making time for exercise. recently i've started back, and i can now run about 1.5 miles without stopping. i could probably run more, but that's what i'm comfortable with at the moment.
-
yes and quite a few after that one.. :)
-
I can't run two houses down and I'm out of breath and feeling like my chest is going to explode and my knee is going to burst out of my skin!
-
Yes, just done 10 miles without stopping today. Not kidding, trainning for NY marathon. I cant wait!
-
YES!! I can run 2 and a little more......20 laps, whereas 8.5 laps is one mile...takes me 20 minutes too...
-
Yes. Even when I haven't eaten for 4 days. Believe me. It happens more frequent than you'd think.
-
No
-
Maybe...if the scenery is nice, not too many people are watching, and its not a hot day!
-
you really have got to be able to run a mile, its unhealthy if a person can't run a mile
-
I used to do it all the time, each morning I would run at least a mile and a lot more. Now, I don't think so, especially in the cold, it gets hard to breather for me. But I wouldn't stop completely, probably just drop down to a walk.
-
When i was on my ms volleyball and basketball team we used to have to run a mile every week and it was terrible
-
Yes thanks.
-
Of course, I could, I run every day about an hour
-
Yes - it isn't too tough. The key is to run below your anaerobic threshold limit, so that you don't suffer from lactic acid. This is a different level for everyone, but as a general rule run at a level where you can still hold a conversation (ie you are not gasping for breath.
-
20 years ago...4:42. Now...I'd be dead...seriously, now, about 7 minutes.
-
ya anyone can lol unless your some fat ass bum
-
Yep!
-
Will add a one on the zippo and do that.
-
Aye.. indeed.
-
Yes, I am out of shape, but I think I could squeak out a mile.
-
I can do 16 miles without stopping. I'm in an electric wheelchair with a 20 mile charge radius.
-
A year ago I would have said yes, give me a few more months and I will say yes again. Today I would be in whiney, blubbering pain.
-
Yes, I can run about a mile and a half before needing a walking break.
-
I could once.
-
I could run 1 mile easily without stopping. I could jog 2 without stopping as well.
-
Usetocould.
-

-
I have a few times.
-
Yep have to once a week in PE
-
Absolutely.
-
Hell no ! i dance for five hours on a Saturday but I swear i wouldnt be able to run a mile without stopping lol
-
Not a chance!
-
Yes, I do 3.5 miles 3-4 times a week as my baseline... I'll increase the mileage during the summer when the weather is good for running and bring it up closer to 14 miles or so before the cold weather sets in again...
-
A mile is only 1,690 odd metres so it ain't hard buddy! :)
-
I can. But I'm pretty slow and nowhere near any record, 9 minutes.
-
Of course i could.Not.
-
I'm working it up, but as of now I have it in 5 minutes.
-
Yeah, for I actually do my 2 mile run every Saturday. I did work up to it, though Roselynn inspired me.
-
I'd be lucky to make it 500 feet...
-
yessir, i could.
-
Only if the mile run was down hill all the way......LOL
-
Only if I ran very slowly indeed.
-
Yes
-
yeah
-
I can, but it's much slower than I used to be able to run it.
-
I need about a week of training, then yes.
-
I sure could... like five months ago. Im way outta shape now n wouldnt last three min strait
-
Run as in sprint no. Jog at a decent brisk pace certainly.
-
no because i am not an athlete to do such a thing like that.. ^^ if i will train my self probably i can do that thing to run a mile without stoping... ^^
-
Yes. Ive ran for over an hour before. Every time I started getting fatigues, I ran faster. And I just got into this zone and stopped feeling fatigued. An hour went by and I have no idea how far I ran, but I can do a mile in a little over ten minutes at my starting speed. I finally stopped only because I was getting bored, it was 3 am and I had to get up for work at 7 am. At first I couldnt figure out how to stop, but when I finally slowed down I started hurting. I had to keep jogging to stop the pain.
-
Of course you can. and also running 2 miles in under 13 minutes is not that hard as my 12 year old daughter does that with ease...sorry.
-
EASILY. i can run 3 miles w/out stopping to rest. n 7 miles if i actually stop n rest once. for a couple minutes n stretch. CROSS COUNTRY!!!!!!
-
yes if I really tried
-
No. :( ha.
-
Funny, just did that a week ago.
-
Yep but then I'd die afterwards.
-
If 1.2 Kilometres is a mile then yes.
-
I can jog a mile with out a rest

Yes..but I'm stuck at 11 miles. I was hoping to do a half marathon but I can't get to 13.

-

-

-
Yes I can and it isn't that hard, but I am a Marine I would hope that most people can do it
-
