Oh yes. Wild turkey are very common where I live and they can fly very well. They usually only fly when fleeing from a predator or taking safety up in the trees to roost for the night. The domestic turkeys, the ones we eat for Thanksgiving dinner can fly but not very gracefully and not enough to get them anywhere. The domestic turkeys are much more heavier and bulkier due to the diet they are fed.

Our wild turkeys fly from one spot to another,what else would it be when they launch and glide to their destination?
