    It was like he decided he didn't want to live out his life exposed to the kinds of crime he saw every day. But he did leave Reid a nice, personal note that, while it didn't explain everything, gave us some insight on where his head was at (still holding it together). I read that Mandy Patinkin wanted to leave because he thought the show was sensationalizing violence for ratings.
