  • Okay, the eject mechanism is actuated by tape tension, sometimes when tapes rewind, they spin faster at the end, and wrap the tape tight before the eject kicks in, tight enough to actuate the "end of tape" eject mechanism. Or your kid shoved his peanut butter and jelly sandwich in the VCR. Does it do it with all tapes or just the one you want to watch? The deal is, it's cheaper to buy a new one than to fix one, so unless you like tinkering, it's time for a trip to wally-mart.
