8 pound wieghts? ok i know about lifting cause i useto be small im 14, ok. you wont start seeing bigger muscils that girls like till you curl about say 40 or 50 pounds, bench about your own wierght atleast once and things like that, but puberty helps alot and once you start you go up fast, if you want i can tell you what each exercise you can do for each muscil and how long ect. (i lift alot)

ive been lifting weights for about 4 years now for football at my highschool. basically it depends on what you want, to look strong(sculpted) or to be strong. if you want to build mass and get stronger your not going to get anywhere with a couple of lightwheight dumbells. if you want to sculpt your arms with those dumbells it will take quite a while. try going to the why and doing some free weights if you want to get stronger. if you want to look tone use the machines and do cardio like running and biking.

It will take time. You are only 13 and your body is still growing. You can also damage your muscle growth by over lifting. Your best bet is to enroll in weight lifting at your school or join a gym. Lots of guys will help you.

my three year old dead lifts an nine lbs med ball. my six year old nephew dead lifts 30lb what lift are you doing. realy for everyone but expecialy for young people such as your self the most importent thangs are not the amount of weight. It focusing on lifting corectly and not lifting a weight that you cant do more that eight of at your age. I do not let my three year old lift any weight that he cant to 15 times and most time he only lifts that weight 10 times. He also is not aloud to list more then twice a week.
