I think you certainly get points for trying... but you have to find what YOU believe.
-
Hellbound for sure
-
do not feel lost , God knows you trying. as long you believe in him that is all that matters.
-
-
ThinkerActually, you must believe in His Son Jesus Christ. Only those whom believe in Jesus Christ will see the Father.
-
-
Nope. But if all the God of Zion stuff is true, then you're upward bound for being a good, obedient little girl.
-
God cannot be felt through the senses. There's no amount piety that will cause that to happen. And why would you go to Hell for being a good Christian?
-
seek and you shall find.....everyone has a starting point...faith comes from hearing....if God knows you are sincerley seeking him..he will reveal himself to you...too many people go through the motions and never really sincerely seek him..for those people I have no answer

Hell is a man-made concept. There is no word in the Bible that actually means Hell the way preachers teach it with immortal souls being tormented forever. That is why so many different translations put Hell at different spots and some not at all. For example, at Acts 2:27, is it Hell or the Grave? http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Acts2:27&version=NIV;NCV;WYC;CEV;KJV /././ http://www.answerbag.com/a_view/5863340

If you can't hear or feel him, it means you're not schizophrenic. Whether you go to hell is between you and your invisible friend.

All points for trying. Every person of faith has doubts. Some say that people with the most faith sometimes have the most doubts. Mother Teresa of Calcutta had many doubts. But Mother Teresa was not an Atheist. Atheists do not write honestly to their spiritual guides things like, "In my soul, I can't tell you how dark it is, how painful, how terrible -- I feel like refusing God." And this is not new. Here is a story from 2001: http://archives.cnn.com/2001/WORLD/asiapcf/south/09/06/teresa.letters/ Mother Teresa was not perfect and did not have it easy. She was a real human being with real thoughts and feelings. Just like the rest of us, sometimes she felt close to God and, at times, felt abandoned by God. She wrote in one of her letters, "I am told God lives in me -- and yet the reality of darkness and coldness and emptiness is so great that nothing touches my soul." Her letters show a real human struggle with her own spirituality and shows her humanity. Even Jesus cried out on the cross, "My God, my God, why have you abandoned me?" Sometimes it seems to be the people with the greatest souls have the greatest doubts. Struggle through and do not give up. God is with you even if you don't feel His presence at every moment. With love in Christ.

Hon, you may be looking for the wrong "signals". I have never heard a "voice from heaven", either, not as some seem to expect. God is a spirit of calm. If you are sincere and take the time to meditate and think about all the blessings you have and become aware of them...and thankful for them...you will be able to feel God deep within...where He dwells. What many think they would like to feel and hear from God would actually terrify them,..which is why He keeps a low profile, I think. Best wishes,...and God bless...Tom.

No you get negative points for wasting your time.

I'll let George Carlin explain!!!

Do not try to live a Christian life on feelings. That is what the world would have you to do. The world says if it feels good, do it. Some people think it feels good to beat up other people. Some people think it feels good to rob banks. Some people think it feels good to molest children. We can’t live our lives on feelings. Most commercials on television have something to do with making you feel better. We live a Christian life on faith in God’s Word, the Bible. Romans chapter one says that creation does prove there is a God: Romans 1:20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: The main thing is in knowing how God loved us. It isn’t in things that make me wealthy, healthy, and happy. The Bible says God is coming to judge the world in righteousness. Therefore we must be righteous when we are judged, and we will be. Hebrews 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: Take the little test below, and see if you died today, how you would do if you stood before God to be judged. Look at the "mirror" of the Ten Commandments. Ever lied? Stolen? Lusted (adultery of the heart - Matt. 5:27-28) or had sex out of marriage? Guilty or innocent on Judgment Day? Heaven or Hell? ("All liars will have their part in the lake of fire" - Rev. 21:8). Jesus took your punishment on the Cross, proving God’s love. He defeated death. Repent and trust Him - God will forgive you and give you everlasting life. Read the Bible daily, obey it - John 14:21. God will never let you down. Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. God didn’t show His love to us by material things, but by making a way for us to be saved from Hell. Jesus said we must do two things to get into Heaven. In Luke 13:3&5, He said if we don’t repent, we will perish. Repent doesn’t mean to just say we are sorry for the sins we have committed, but to confess our sins to God and forsake them. In John 3:3, Jesus said we must be born again. This means we must put our faith in the sacrifice Christ made on the cross to pay for our sins. It’s as simple as this. We broke God’s Law, and Jesus paid our fine if we would do those two things. If we do both of those, and don’t believe we are saved, then we are calling God a liar. No, trying hard, won’t cut it. We have either done the things we must do or we haven’t. If we have, God can see us as righteous and allow us into Heaven on Judgment Day not because of how great we are, but because of how great His love is for us. If we haven’t, the Judge of the universe can not let a Law breaker go free, and His place of punishment is Hell forever. We must make the choice before we take our last breath. Luke 9:62 And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God. I don’t judge anyone, I just give the little test above so they can decide for themselves where they would stand before God. Please, if you need to repent and be born again, do it today. None of us can be assured of tomorrow. May God continue to bless you and yours!

It's simple. Just do what guys do when it comes to the locker room. Just say you do too.
-
If you believe in God and read a bible and do good then it will be paid to you in a long run, sometime we do not realise that we escape from some problems in our life ,beause we had follow the God with a good intention.
-
It’s all make-believe. That’s why absolute faith and blind belief is essential for ‘membership’ of any religion! Both God & ‘soul’ are human concepts, which are not essential to live a good-ethical-moral-successful (GEMS) life …and enjoy it! The presence of ‘more than one’ gods or/and of just one atheist is enough to destroy the god-myth-superstition-delusion. So stop worrying and enjoy a guilt-free life! And marvel the world around you, without naming it 'god' or 'miracle'. Watch fro FREE! “Evolution, the greatest show on earth!”

The Lord God has never rejected you, why then do you reject Him? He is real.
-
-
Of course you get points for trying! You have nothing to worry about. You are doing just what you're supposed to.
-
The way you get to heaven is by believing in Jesus and accepting Him as your personal Savior. Believing in God, going to churdh, and doing good is great, but ultimately you have to accept Jesus.
-
yup.... your going to hell, like the rest of us. oh well. it happens

The only thing that prevents you from going to heaven is not believing John 3:16. It's not good works or anything else that gets you there.
-
Your on the right track if your trying. For those trying to find God sincerely they will find Him if they perservere in the search. At some point God will give those people what is referred to as an effectual call which means He will give you the ability to believe with the kind of faith that leads to Salvation. Not everyone who gets the opportuity to utilize this faith does so but if you do then you become Born Again and the Holy Spirit comes and makes His dwelling with you. Then you will both hear and feel Him.

5-9-2017 It is not reliable to let people tell you what the bible says. Many people will make up stuff because they don't know what it says, and many will make up stuff because they wish it would not say what it says. You just have to read it for yourself. Read a chapter of Proverbs every day. Proverbs has 31 chapters so you can keep your place by just looking at a calendar. There is no religion or nothing in Proverbs and you don't have to believe anything. Just read to find wisdom. When you are comfortable with that, then read the bible from Romans to 2 Thessalonians over and over until you start to remember what it says. That is the part that applies to Christians. Here is a book to help you to understand the bible. It's a free download and you can get a hard copy at any bible book store. http://philologos.org/__eb-htetb/ "How To Enjoy The Bible"

only god knows where you go, maybe you should take that up with him

only god knows where you'll go, you need to take that up with him

8-30-2017 [2 Peter 1:3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:] God has said everything that needs to be said. Anything more can only be a repetition or restatement of what has already been said. God can only limit Himself by shooting off His mouth.

only god knows where you go, maybe you should ask him this question

God does not talk to us in a *thunderous voice* as He did to His prophets. (Hebrews 1:1) Nor do you need to feel Him as if He were human. (John 4:24) Instead, God guides us with His plans, and shows us how we should and shouldn't respond. Proverbs 3:5-6 "Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. 6 In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths."
-
When the "heart" loves/lives life fully, all duality falls away into presence. Any one belief from any one religion will always separate the "believer" from life itself.
-
have you asked the Lord Jesus into your heart? You may not feel the Lord God because you have not asked Jesus into your heart. Jesus said, "No one comes to the Father (God) except through Me." Reading the Bible is good but if you do not know what it is saying you will not understand it. Ask God to help you. Now find the book "The Royal Law of Liberty: Living in Freedom Under Christ's Law Of Love" by Darwin Chandler. The book is available from Amazon Books in both Kindle and print. I can assure you you will know Jesus and God when you finish the book.
-
i dont think so, just ask god to help you with the rest of it

To share another answer: don't expect God to appear to you in burning bush. By doing everything you claim to do, you can be assured that God is there in the same way in our lives - in places we happen to go.
-
You're not trying, you're just pretending to try. "Can't make a housewife out of a whore", as they say. You seriously need to get your act together and be less fake.

Simple answer: not necessarily. I do have a problem with "try to believe". I mean: if you can make yourself believe that the Earth orbits the Sun (it doesn't - at least, not any more than the Earth orbits Mercury or Venus, the Sun is simply closer to the center of the Solar System than is any other body), then you already know that you can convince yourself to believe in things based on limited or (in my example) false evidence. (BTW - before you blow your top about the Earth not really orbiting the Sun thing, that's true, and been known to be true, for hundreds of years. The idea that the Earth orbits about the Sun is false in classical (Newtonian) mechanics, and a ridiculous notion in relativistic (Einsteinian) mechanics. Why don't they teach that to children? My guess: it's too advanced a subject, even for high school seniors. Compare the standard false teaching: "The Sun is at the center of the Solar System and the Earth orbits around it" to reality (according to classical mechanics): "The Sun orbits about the center of mass of the Solar System. It is not itself the center of mass, nor is the center of mass to be found "within" the Sun. The center of mass of the Solar System continuously changes its position because of the orbit of the Sun and planets about it, and it is not a physical object even though it has reality in existence and has a visible and measurable effect on reality.")

Matthew 5:6 “Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.” Many times as humans we willingly bring difficulty upon ourselves by neglecting to bring God's Word into our thoughts and remembrance. The moment we recognize that we have been falling short of realizing God's goodness in our lives we can remind ourselves that we need not willingly bring about our own failure. archive.org/details/bibletellsmeso01wier/page/12 We can decide to be strong. Ephesians 6:10 “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.” We also remind ourselves that a man's strength comes from the spirit of God within. II Corinthians 4:16 “For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.” To receive the things of the spirit of God, we make decisions according to God's Word and achieve the perfecting of ourselves from within. II Timothy 3:16,17 “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for [which is] instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.” As we become inspired by the scriptures we see the possibilities of God's accomplishments in our lives and begin to act on them. At that point, we are receiving instruction in righteousness and are accomplishing God's desires and good pleasure. Philippians 2:13 “For it is God which worketh in you [by way of the gift in you] both to will and to do of his good pleasure.” As we walk in the good works God has prepared for us, we bring the knowledge of God's Word to others and most fully realize His goodness in our lives. Ephesians 2:10 “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.”

God will not speak to you like a voice in your head. He communicates through his word the Bible. The Bible shows that it is possible to have a relationship with God. Effort is required though. Even some anointed Christians in the first century needed to strengthen their relationship with Jehovah God. The Christian overseer James had to warn some regarding their fleshly tendencies and loss of spiritual cleanness. In the midst of that counsel, he gave this powerful exhortation: “Draw close to God, and he will draw close to you.” (James 4:1-12) For more information on this subject and more please visit wwwjworg

Nope, God loves a trier. The way I went was an atheist practicing awareness for many years, I wasn't just an atheist, I knew there was no God so I debated Christians and even debated the other atheists, and basically questioning the existence of everything, somehow that brought about a profound spiritual experience. I know I wasn't the only one who experienced this on a very popular question and answer site many years ago. I was a seeker of truth, and decided to test all the ideas I'd been given like an alchemist tests gold, so there's many different ways, I couldn't grasp the just pray, etc, I felt I was adding an idea, where the way I went, felt like a truth that had been there all along, something I'd forgotten. Sometimes like the prodigal son you have to move a way. Where atheist go wrong is not examining atheism, always be aware of grasping ideas without questioning.
