  • Did not know that. Although it has been a long standing tradition for genre films (sci-fi/fantasy/horror) to include a cameo of the author of the literary work in the movie. For example, Arthur C. Clarke can be seen feeding the pigeons in front of the White House in "2010". Also, sometimes a director will include a cameo from one of their major influences as when Eli Roth included a cameo of Takashi Miike in "Hostel". Hope this helps.
