It's kind of lame, and I didn't even like the song, but I was flipping through some old music on my computer and the line just completely stood out to me.. "I am not afraid to walk this world alone.." I fear loneliness to a rather pathetic level, and just the fleeting thought of walking the world.. alone... kind of encouraged me to become less..dependent on the company of other people... Twas an odd moment. Another was a song by my friend, Kyle Powers... "We're all just ripples on still waters..." Leaves me with a bit to think about... ~+~

I don't listen much to Phil Collins these days but he's got a song called "Both Sides of the Story" The whole song is pretty moving, but the last verse goes: White man turns the corner, finds himself within a different world Ghetto kid grabs his shoulder, throws him up against the wall He says "Would you respect me if I didn't have this gun? 'cos without it, I dont get it, and that's why I carry one" We always need to hear both sides of the story I can't say that it's THE most powerful lyric - but this is one that I've never forgotten.

There is a current song with a pretty powerful chorus, "Even if we can't find Heaven, I'll walk through Hell with you." Don't agree with choosing a person over Heaven - but the dedication thought is VERY powerful.
