• Last I heard it was a false science
  • no it hocus pocus
    • Crazychick
I wouldn't say that, roiboysatx. If it was hocus pocus it couldn't be true, could it? Yet it is true.
    • ReiSan
      No ot is not true.
  • I don't know. They say it's not a true science, yet it is true. People do have the characteristics of whatever astrological sign they are born under. I'm a Pisces and all the descriptions of that sign fit me while the other signs don't, so it must be true. I don't understand the science part though.

Astrology is not science. What is the mechanism by which the timing of your birth affects your personality?
    • ReiSan
No, it is not true. Some astrologer say that Sun sign has a small influence upon you. You must look at all of your planets positions in the x zodiac, their aspects and what House they are in. You have no Pisces characteristics according to these astrolgers.
  • Whether it is classed as a science or not, it is most definitely true.
    • ReiSan
      No, it is not!
  • The Century Dictionary and Cyclopedia defines astrology as a study that
    • Crazychick
A study that what? You didn't finish your sentence.
  • Kidding?
  • astrology is the study of planets and their postions.but they show effect on human activities..that is why people believe in astrology.according to my point of view astrology is true best astrology
  • No, Astrology is not science. During scientific inquiry, hypotheses are developed and tested; this does not apply to Astrology. It is better classified as a superstition, or perhaps a pseudoscience.
  • I don't think so.
  • 4-25-44 Astrology is what has been passed down from a time when science and religion were the same thing, and both hung right there in the sky for all to see. You don't have to read many pages in history to realize that the sky above the Earth looked very different just a few thousand years ago. You might wonder why the ancients named their god after a planet that most people now can't even point to. Well, they were quite explicit about that: they didn't worship gods named for planets, they worshiped the planets. In ancient days, Jupiter and Saturn dominated the sky, and Venus and Mars put on quite a show for a long time. Here is a careful investigation of ancient myths and legends, considering stories in hundreds of languages from all over the world and going back to 10,500 BC. It is very long, and it is still in progress.

Without much else to do at night, they spent a lot of time making up those stories about the sky.
  • No, it's a fake with no basis in science.
  • not that i know of
  • No, it's entertainment.
  • Not a science but an interesting subject to study. The planets do affect us even if we are not aware. Most people know that during a full moon, emergency rooms are full, crime is rampant and many more babies are born.. The phases of the moon were used by farmers to know when to plant their crops. If you don't believe in astrology its no big deal to me. I have studied it for years and have found it worthwhlle:)

There's no doubt that calendars follow the moon and star cycles, and the practical (and less practical) observances derived from them. But saying the planets have control over these things is like saying "the devil made me do it." You either have free will or you don't.
  • It is neither true, nor a science. You're confusing it with astronomy.
  • No. Jesus is the true science.
