No, because I kept saying I wanted to be a "foreign correspondent" when I really had no idea what it was; it just sounded terribly glamorous! I ended up as a teacher/librarian - both of which I enjoyed.

Pretty darned close! I wanted to be a nuclear physicist or scientist. I ended up a Nuclear Engineer with a background in Electrical Engineering Technology.

I didn't know what I wanted to grow up to be when I was young, and now I don't think I pursued the right career and don't know what to go for, for a second career. It's no joke to "never grow up".

No, but then, I wanted to be the engineer who cracked the antigravity puzzle. Closest I got was to be an electronic technician.

no i wanted to be an airline pilot, but foundout half way through flight training that it was WAY to expensive to afford...so now im stuck majoring in aviation management...a desk job...YAY.

Yes, I became an airline pilot! Life was great until my airline closed. Now I'm back in school as there won't be any more hiring for at least two more years.

No. When I was really young, computers were few and far between, so I never thought I'd turn them into a career. Later, when computer courses started at school, I was so good at it that I realised I had something going for me there. Today I'm a computer analyst and head geek at my company.
