My gut feeling is that a family desperate for money, saw neighbor mowing lawn, conked their own kid in the head, ran outside, picked up the first rock they saw and confronted the neighbor. Sad fact, some people will do anything for drug money.

If he only has a small size push mower I doubt that he would have attempted to go over such a large stone. If he had it would probably have stalled the machine or damaged his blades. if it really is a small push mower i doubt it could have thrown a stone that size into the next yard.

A lawnmower, would not throw it, it would hit the blades, and bend them. -
