It can be. Anything can become a craft of a professional.

Pole dancing is not as easy as you may think , There are a lot of different things that go into it, I know I used to dance. You have to take into consideration how well it's attached, how much arm strength you have, how much leg strength and believe it or not NOT everything looks sexy just because it's done with a pole between your legs. But it is a lot of fun to do it does burn off A LOT of calories if you do it for at least 25 to 30 minutes a day, But with the right music the right audience and enough space, go for it you won't regret it,

Everything can be an art. Some people even elevate stupidity to an art form.
-
yes, except when performed on Jerry Springer
-
depends on who is dancing i suppose. i had a pole installed in the last home i owned and i was really impressed by some of the graceful & acrobatic moves i saw performed by both men and women. everyone wanted a crack at the pole during parties. the most amazing pole dancing i saw was done by a gymnast ~ both her upper body and lower body strength were truly phenomenal.
