It doesn't work, and I don't feel like spending $35 just to find out IF the cartridge is the whole problem.

My biggest complaint about all the lovely, inexpensive inkjet printers is the same: the completely unnecessary, evil, and capricious changes in cartridge design intended solely to lock out 3rd-party ink vendors. These changes typically add *nothing* of value to the function, they make it hard to find ink, and they keep the ink expensive when you do find it. It's the printer manufacturer's way of hiding the true cost of their products -- they can tease you in with a cheap printer that does everything, and then milk you for $30 ink cartridges containing $3 worth of plastic and chemicals.

The noice my dot matrix printer makes. They tell I could get over this problem by switching to ink jet. But the dot matrix machine is sturdy and I wouldn't want to let it go.

The price of the ink and how often we are forced to change the cartidges. I used to be a court reporter. They made ink for the machines that never dried and because if it, you could use a bottle forever. A little went a long way. I wish they could come up with a similar invention for printers, but then again, why would they want to stop ripping people off?

My computer is constantly telling me that my printer is disconnected. No, it is turned off, by me, when not in use.
