My life is depressing. I need to be in a different environment of people who have a sense of heart and empathy. Unfortunately Iβm surrounded by sociopaths and psychopaths who are miserable to be around with. Thatβs why my life is depressing because I have been poorly treated since childhood.

Once you reach the age of 18, you're in a position to make whatever changes in your life that you feel you need. If you fail to do so, you have no one to blame but yourself. The idea is to learn from the past to make a better future. Don't blame your failures on someone else when you had the power to change everything. -
Shadow Of The Mind
I understand that as an adult I can make changes but life is a struggle for anyone in my position. I have learnt from the past and I try to live my own life but stuck in the process because of being put down mentally because of people passing on their problems to me. I am sensitive to emotions and Iβm easily depressed. I like change but sometimes change can be a struggle depending on what it is. I have been emotionally abandoned for a long time by people who lack empathy. -

If you're going to depend on people's empathy to live your life, then you might as well prepare yourself to live in the underbelly of the world. Rent a basement apartment, hang curtains to block the light, and sit there in a dark corner feeling sorry for yourself. Just remember, though - if you have the key to get in, you also have the key to get out. You've been brain-raped by political correctness, spending your time on making yourself and people around you miserable When you post questions and comments in here, who is standing over you telling you what to say? Anyone? No one? If you answered "no one", then why do you post negative stuff all the time? If you're thinking for yourself, then you surround yourself with the wrong influences. No one can hold your hand and lead you to a happy life - you have to find your own way. But you're never going to find it unless you take down the bleak curtains and let some light into your life. Life is what *YOU* make it. You and you alone make the choices for which direction you want to go. -

1465, I hear what youβre saying. I understand other peopleβs empathy is not the way to live my own life. What I was trying to say is the emotional impact that people have on me which is negative. Thereβs nobody standing over me and not telling me what to say. I like to be open to feelings. I agree that life is what you make of it but sometimes other people can be a distraction and make me feel stuck in life. You are right about making choices for which direction I want to go

It's been a struggle at times, and I wish I could go back and change some things along the way. But it is what it is, and as long as I've made it this far in one piece, I can't complain.
