  • Sometimes. It has happened. There have been many ruses in war that have led to decisive victories. It is difficult to say that they have won wars, but, possibly. The Allies rused the German Wehrmacht in WWII into believing the invasion would be at Calais when, in fact, it was Normandy. The German Army was caught off guard and suffered a serious defeat. It allowed the Allies to move rapidly through France and into Germany. Then, of course, there is that famous Trojan Horse....
