Try this: I had heard of brocolli cheese crumble so I tried a mushroom crumble: quickly Fry some whole mushrooms and sliced courgettes to seal them and add peppers if you like make a creamy white sauce and simmer the mushrooms and vege in the white sauce (add leaks if you want to) near the end of its cooking time add a little garlic and a little dried herbs and some soft cheese or sour creme and then stir in and let the sauce reduce and thicken with one tablespoon of cornflower disolved in a little water if needed. you need to add this and stir in rapidly while the sauce is simmering (I put a dessert spoon of vinegar to a pan of white sauce if im cooking for 3 people but thats optional and it doesnt improve the texture just adds something I like to the flavour) then make a crumble with butter and flour and a pinch of salt. Spinkle the crumble over the top and bake in the oven until ready. Serve with mashed potato and vege such as peas and carrots.

Because I grew up very poor (we had meat MAYBE once a week, and THAT was usually weiners), I won't eat a meal now without meat ( unless I do like "JTolb", and just have cereal). When I do that, it's ALWAYS Post "Great Grains Pecan Crunch"!

I know what you are saying, but I hate that we (industry) decided to call one product "cheese" and the other similar product with important distinctions "cheez." I like nutritional yeast. Have you tried that? It's like the flavour of parmesean-ish but without being cheesy at all... -
mugwort
I know what you mean? BTW Ever try "Lesser Evil" "cheesy" pop corn. Made with nutritional yeast. A nurse I know recommended it. -
