We usually play spades. That is the one game we all seem to know how to play...except my brother. I've learned not to partner with him because he doesn't know how to bid! We'll teach him one of these days!!

Cribbage, and I just learned new game called Gai - you get three cards and try and get close to nine, it's similar to baccarrat although if there is a tie the pot builds and you need to buy in again. Crazy game, potential for thousand dollar pots off of a small type buy in (one to five dollars).

yes UNO is a great game to play. it makes you hesisate and you have to guess if someone is lying or not. strip jack is fun to play too but it can get a little tedious after a while

Conquian... don't know how its called in English but it goes like this, put like two decks together, the point is to empty your hand, and you can only put stuff down whenever you have a straight, poker, three of a kind, no pairs. At least three cards must go down so you can have three card straights and then add on later, if you have an extra card you need to get rid off put it on one of your opponents straights, poker, etc. You start with seven cards, you choose one and trade with another player to your right. Then you flip a card from the top of the deck, the person that flipped it has dibs on it, if he needs it he can pick it up but has to put one in its place, then you keep on going clockwise. During your turn you can choose to either grab that card that's face up or draw one from the deck. The point is to empty your hand before everybody because each card in your hand will add points to your score. The point is to stay as low as you can. A=20 K=13 Q=12 J=11 and 10=10 etc. Also, who plays card games nowadays? Its all about the wii sister!

When I was younger , has a family saturday nits was games nite, but can't remeber how to play them all, but liked Bus Stop, Newmarket, Chase the King and Sh*thead. If anyone know the rules to any appreciate the help to play with own children.

If you can't tell by my moniker, it is euchre. It's fast, easy to learn, doen't require a lot of memorizing who has what, and can be fun no matter what style of play your employ (conservative, aggressive, etc). I find great joy in discussing my recent successes and failures in playing the game with other euchre players.

as a teenager my most memorable event was to play cards with the guys in the garage (im the tomboy girl) and we could play crazy 8s in the garage for cigarettes. it was honestly the most fun ive had playing cards! thanks for the memory boost!
