I had a Great Dane that decided to rummage through the trash while I was away one weeekend. He got food poisoning and had Explosive Diarrhea all over my carpet. I took one look and grabbed a Razor knife and tore the carpet out and burned it on the front lawn. From then On I decided if your going to have dogs, Laminate Hardwood Floors, Throughout my house. Easy to keep clean, No muss no fuss.

besides my bathroom and kitchen which are ceramic tile I have hardwood floors all over the house.

Kitchen , bathrooms, basement,landing are ceramic tiles. everywhere else is hardwood...well theres carpet on the stairs, I have NO clue why they did that!!!

Hardwood flooring. My husband put it in about 6 months ago.

Since I have no formal den,I would say the office would be the closest thing to a den and it is a tiled floor.
