area 51 is a military air base located at groom lake , Nevada. it is off limits to civillians and the government denies it's existence, as it is not printed on any maps of the surrounding area. it is also believed to be where the Roswell U.F.O is stored

Area 51 is a research facility is Arizona. Exactly where, I don't know, but you might be able to find it on google earth (assuming it doens't jump you to New Orleans like it did to me). It's supposed to be a place for airforce research, and I have no doubt that it might be, considering the layout looks very much like an airbase (it's a triangular set of runways with a few bunkers that might house aircraft). That is all the public officially knows.

I am an Aussie and I live at 59 ... lol We dont hear much of Area 51. I read it is a strict Military Zone, possibly used to build BIO WMD or something similar? ...(I pray not) we can only speculate?

If you look up Area-51 using Google Earth..you'll just see a big landing strip and a couple of buildings. I assume it's nothing more than a military base where they happen to like keeping things a little more quiet.

It is a military base. The U-2 spyplane was tested there, so was the Lockheed Blackbird, and also it is known to test quite a lot of other top secret aircraft

This subject is a fun one for me.I will never believe people from outerspace have been captured there, but something juicy is going on there.Like wierd experiments that would freak out the adverage person,or something that is condemed by the constitution but done behind the scenes. I think if what is really going on there came out it would be a rippling effect around the world, thats why they would prefer any speculation as long as no one knows the awful truth.

Area 51 is shrouded in mystery because the government has classified it, and refuses to acknowledge it's existance. The most credible evidence would suggest that it is a new aircraft test facility. The first Pulse Detonation Engines were supposedly tested there. Area 51 however became famous when it was supposed to have recieved the wreckage of an alien UFO crash in Roswell NM. However few if any of the leading minds in propulsion, engineering or aeronautics of that era were transfered there, making any alien UFO remains very unlikely. It seems to just be a remote testing strip for odd new aircraft.

A place to be probed? ;) JK An area with alledged alien activity, but then again the US Border has alot of that too. Correction: the little grey being with big black eyes if your lucky, but beware the lizard aliens...bad tempers during the probing. So I've heard.
