Liz Taylor is her younger years was an absolute stunner. Her whole appearance oozed class. Marilyn always seemed to be just another ditzy blonde.

I think Elizabeth Taylor was better looking but Marilyn was sexier. But the thing is, Elizabeth Taylor was born with an uncommon beauty - she'd have looked good in a sackcloth. Marilyn, really, was just another averagely pretty blonde, but she had an incredible instinct for how to project sex- her entire public life from the way she spoke to the way she dressed was geared towards being hot. And she managed to make an entire world believe that she was the ultimate fantasy woman. That takes some doing. Hats off.

Elizabeth Taylor and she has had a LOT more famous years. She was beautiful as a child in National Velvet and she could sit a horse. I don't know that Marilyn could do more than talk breathy. And she wasn't blonde. Taylor's beauty was (until surgery) all natural.

Both were lovely ladies, but, although I love Marilyn, she was not natural in the sense that she was really a brunette, had boob jobs, nose jobs etc. If you look at Elizabeth Taylor as a young woman in, say, Little Women, you see how beautiful she really was. I really loved her as Rebecca in Ivanhoe. Just stunning.

Elizabeth Taylor, no contest. I prefer brunettes over blondes, for one thing, but also, Elizabeth had such a perfectly beautiful face, with eyes that could melt a person. She was like a Grecian goddess in looks.

In as much as both were complete knockouts, I will give the edge to MS Taylor who had/has a certain fetching sophistication in addition to her classic beauty. In spite of what some people say, MS Taylor still retains a spark of that beauty, albeit more voluptuous and much more mature.

I think Marilyn was prettier...but Liz was more beautiful. Somehow I think there is a difference between pretty and beautiful. Debbie Reynolds was pretty; Ava Gardner was beautiful. Nelly Furtado is pretty; Kreviazuk is beautiful.

I think Elizabeth Taylor was prettier than Marilyn Monroe. To me, Marilyn Monroe is nothing special. There were actresses prettier than either of them in their time. Audrey Hepburn comes to mind.

Elizabeth Taylor. The whole world was enamored with her from her childhood on. She was a natural beauty. Women wanted to be like her. People followed her life, husbands & drama like no other I've seen. She seemingly had it all and now she is gone. I think about her from time to time and it is a reminder of how fleeting fame and fortune can be. What remains after a person is gone are the lives the person changed for the better. The small things as well as the large. A friendly smile that might turn someones day into something great. You just never know.

Hard one to answer. Liz had a more exotic look , while Marilyn had a "girl next door" appeal. Her vulnerability made her more appealing, approachable and relate-able, IMO.

Liz Taylor was prettier, especially in "Cat On A Hot Tin Roof" she was drop-dead gorgeous. Marilyn was pretty but she has been overrated because of the way she died. Lots of women in that era who were just as pretty if not prettier don't get the attention she got. Cyd Charisse and Joi Lansing, are just two.
