  • THAT'S A GOOD QUESTION I HAVE TO LOOK THAT UP BUT IF I HAD TO GUESS I WOULD SAY TREES THAT'S WREE EVERTHING WHERE COME FROM
  • 7-29-2017 We tend to assume that "plastic" is a noun, a certain kind of material. But in fact it is an adjective meaning flexible. That is why cake recipes call for "plastic" frosting. But I guess you mean the material. Plastic is any man made flexible material. If you study chemistry you find there are a bazillion ways to make it. One experiment in chem lab is to pour a diacid and a diol into a beaker, insert a hook to where they meet, and pull out a strand of nylon.

  • Plastics are derived from materials found in nature, such as natural gas, oil, coal, minerals and plants.
  • Most plastic comes from petroleum oil although some comes from peanut oil and some other oils as well. Most of the petroleum oil imported from the middle east is used for plastics. Only a drop in the bucket become motor fuels.
