I checked the HP site and it looks like they've discontinued the 7600 series which includes your printer and they aren't offering replacements nor are they giving a reason as to why they discontinued this series. You may want to click on the following link and follow their instructions for printer cartridge errors though and see if that fixes the problem. http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=bpa00299&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&product=305364&lang=en

Wild_Rose's link is broken, looks like HP pulled the info. I had the same problem. The "Cartridge Carrier" is on the right side of the printer under where the ink cartridges normally rest. Apparently this part of the printer is responsible for cleaning the cartridge. The more you clean, the more ink buildup happens underneath the cartridges. Long story short, the "Cartridge Carrier" most likely is literally stuck. There's probably a ink sludge buildup underneath the cartridges. Just get a baby wipe and swab that area out. Worked like a charm for me at least. If that doesn't work, you'll need to replace it as it's a discontinued item.
