    All starters are located near the *back* end of the engine, near where it connects to the transmission. Follow the positive [+] battery cable and it will lead you to the solenoid [smaller, cylindrical] and the starter [larger, cyclindrical] immediately below it. Before working on the starter or solenoid, disconnect the NEGATIVE [-] battery lead at the battery to prevent sparks and injuries.
