What do you like better hard floors or carpet?

Hard wood floors. So much cleaner when you have pets.

When there would be heavy traffic in the house, I would prefer floors. Otherwise a carpet makes a room homy and cozy.....

Wooden floors, they are alot easier to clean and i think look better to, but i do like having small rugs on the wooden floors, it makes it look alot nicer.

I like hardwood floors, saltillo tiles and lots of Oriental rugs on top.

Carpet except for kitchen and bathroom. I don't care what's trendy or "in style". I like carpet. I think it comes from my youth, so many days getting out of be and feet hitting cold floor.

I prefer ceramic tile on my living room & carpet 4 my bedroom!

If it is not Hardwood or tile, I'll take the carpet. I had a house with terrazzo floors and they are the WORST! My toes got so cold in the mornings I thought they would snap off. And I shant go into the pitfalls of linoleum.

I would usually say hardwood floors, but I just got a splinter in my foot from my over 100 year old hardwood floors and I'm mad at them right now. Carpet

Hardwood, it is easy to clean, fun to slide across with your socks, and it doesn't get those ugly indents!!!

I love hardwood floors... They are beautiful but they are a pain to keep clean. I had them for awhile, but I finally switched to carpet.

I would much rather have real wooden floors with runners or throw rugs here and there. I have wall to wall carpeting now in nearly every room, except the living room which has a tile floor, and two throw rugs.

Depends on the quality of the hard flooring, i had some really cheap awful stuff that was like lino ..avoid this stuff at all costs i would say and buy a mid range carpet.. but if you get it right ..real wood floors are beautiful.. easy to clean too :O)

Hardwood floors. There is nothing that feels better than stepping onto a hardwood floor where the sun has been shining through.
