  • Why we don't show a date: It doesn't matter, really. We make every attempt to make sure that our questions are not time-dependent, so they will be valid at any time. Why we don't show who submitted the question: It allows people to answer their own questions without it looking odd. People may discover that one of our FAQs is missing a question, and then, because they know the answer, they'll go ahead and answer it. Some other users may perceive this as someone trying to show off, or increase their own stats and ratings, so we hide the name of the person who submitted the question. We do record this information, and you can still see it while browsing that user's profile.
