Why not change the sentence to "A room block has been made at the following hotels for the convenience of the guests" But it's guests'
-
It is both possessive AND plural - assuming you wish to make the block available for more than one guest. Therefore, you do need an apostrophe - but it will come after the 's' i.e. 'guests' convenience'.

guests' - possessive plural
-
Guests' - it is for the convenience of the guests or, otherwise, for the guests' convenience
-
I'm wondering why it is posessive...do the guests own their convenience...some how that doesn't make sence.
