  • My partner and I are definitly fans of the banana! I've heard this question asked quite a few times and when we tell people that we use bananas they get very interested and want to know more. Here's some facts and examples. For starters, my partner and I are both women. The banana is only effective with the vagina. Do NOT try to use the banana anally (sorry gay boys, you need something a bit more firm). There's a few sets of precautions you need to know before getting started using a peeled banana. Washing - Peel the banana, inspect it for rot, and rinse it under cold water. GENTLY pat it dry with a paper towel. Lubrication - It is recommended you get in a considerable amount of foreplay before using the banana (oral sex is highly recommended). Once you are stimulated and wet, your natural fluids will provide the best possible lubrication. Do NOT use any type of lubricant such as K-Y...for starters you can't eat it as it tastes awful, and it will ruin the banana. Color - Full, Dark Green - This is a very good time to use the banana. It is still stiff as it is not yet fully ripe. It will be stronger and you'll have less chance of breakage. However, this is also when the banana tastes the most bitter and unpleasant. If you plan on eating the banana afterwards you shouldn't use it at this time. It is also the least moist, so the penetration feeling may not be as pleasant either. Greenish yellow - The PERFECT time to use. More yellow than green is what to look for. When you peel the banana you'll notice it is still a bit stiff but soft to the touch. The flavor of the banana will be very good at this time. It can survive repeated penetration (delicately) and will taste good after use. Yellow w/Black Spots - When the skin starts developing black spots, it is at its most ripe condition. Some parts of the banana itself may be blackened. If so, do not use that banana. A banana in this stage will be VERY soft and have no stiffness whatsoever. Very delicate penetration is okay, but nothing prolonged. Covered in Black Spots - Do not use the banana. It is getting rotten and will not survive penetration, plus the bacteria will likely be very harmful to your vagina. If the banana itself is blackened after peeling in numerous spots, avoid using it altogether. Now that you understand basic color schemes, lets discuss how to use them! There are a few things you can try with a banana, and frankly i'm surprised we haven't seen more of the banana used in porn videos, especially home made porn videos...well, at least nothing I'll be showing you ;) Methods: Here's a list of methods to use the banana. Some are better than others, and some people have different tastes. Penetration - Delicate, smooth and slow is the way to go. The banana is a very soft fruit and can break easily. Penetration should NEVER be too deep...2 inches of penetration is about as far as you should go. If you want to be adventurous, try 3 or 4 inches but be CAREFUL. If the banana breaks inside you may have some serious trouble on your hands. With each movement, the fluids in your vagina will strip the banana and wear it down. If it begins to feel flimsy you should stop, dispose of the part used, and move on to the other end. For the record, banana penetration is one of the most pleasant feelings in the world...you won't ever forget it and you'll be spending alot more money on bananas ;) Oral "flavor lube" - cut off the top part of a freshly peeled banana, exposing the wet interior. Using this exposed inside, rub the banana against the vagina. To really get some great stimulation out of it, press the banana against the clit and "grind" the banana into it. This is a very unique feeling and will get you wet in no time. When she's done, have your partner lick the banana residue off your vagina, then do the same to her. Masturbation/flavor lube - cut off a piece of the banana about 2 to 4 inches long. After the cut, take the knife and strip off an entire side of the banana. This will expose the wet interior. Using the exposed side, press the 2 to 4 inch piece and press it firmly between the lips, right up against the "meat" of your vagina. Have your partner gently rub the exposed banana flesh against your vagina in an up and down motion. This works the same as the "flavor lube" technique, but due to the length and girth of the banana piece it will feel closer to oral sex. This is a great way to get an orgasm with the banana, and you can use it for a prolonged amount of time. Once finished, have your partner lick off the residue and do the same to her. The Suck Out - A risky but pleasurable technique. Cut the banana in half and have your partner insert it into your vagina up until only the cut end is sticking out of your vagina. Then, have your partner suck the banana out with her mouth, eating it as she removes it. A green/yellow banana is best for this since it will still be strong enough to last in the vagina for a while with deep penetration. The Mush - A yellow w/spots banana is best for this, as it is most ripe. Cut the banana into small pieces and "mush" them into your vagina. Have your partner eat the mush off your vagina and do the same to her. These are just some of the techniques you can use. However the following list is things you should NOT do: Double Penetration: Do NOT use the banana like you would a double-ended dildo! There is too much chance of the banana breaking in half and being pushed too far into the vagina. Deep Penetration: Do NOT penetrate to the point where you feel the banana touch the back of your uterus...if it breaks off in here you will need serious medical attention. Multiple piece insertion: Do NOT cut the banana into small pieces and mush them INSIDE the vagina. You will get too much residue and thick pieces rolling around in there. If you want to do an internal mush, do so only at the opening of the vagina and no deeper. Make sure your partner has plenty of sucking power to get the mush out. Obviously you can see now the dangers associated with using a peeled banana. Look to these safety tips and "what to do" scenarios: Douche - after you use the banana for sex, you should douche TWICE in a row. Bacteria from the food can cause a yeast infection, among other things. I recommend douche before, and then douche after using the banana. Breakage - If you suspect, or if you KNOW a piece broke off, do not wait - seek medical attention. It won't "just pass". If you douche you may inadvertantly worsen it, so do not do so. You may try to push it out, but depending on where the piece broke off and how soft it is, you may crush it, causing it to spread into your uterus. If you feel the piece in your vaginal canal, try to push it out. If you still feel a "weighty" feeling in the canal, there is either mush or more pieces in there. Don't go to your general practitioner, just go to the emergency room and don't be shy. Shower - make sure you shower after sex using a banana. Even if you think your partner got all of the residue off when she performed oral sex on you, you should shower to avoid a UTI or Yeast infection caused by bacteria. Remember, be PATIENT and be GENTLE when using the banana. It is a delicate object but with the right amount of care you will be in for a pleasurable experience. My lover and I use bananas at least once a week and have never had an issue (not even infections). You just have to be careful and be smart.
