  • Its probably the heater core and not the water pump. The heater core also operates on anti-freeze. There part is not very expensive but the cost of installation is usually high due to the fact that they are not in good locations. Labor will be high.
  • hows the linkage for heat portion of heater controls? some times when a car has an aftermarket stereo or other realated repairs, the linkage can by accident, become unhooked. are you realy loosing coolant? can you physically see external leakage, or is it poss. it is being burt? (headgasket) do you ever get heat after filling up? good luck.
