  • My gut tells me the two most likely causes are either a clogged heater core or overcooling of the engine due to a bad thermostat sticking open.
  • Or, if it's really very cold where you live, put a piece of cardboard in front of the radiator. But cut a 2 inch hole in the center so some air gets through. And for cheap insurance, always mix your antifreeze with distilled water. I don't care if the car companies say it's unnecessary, if there's no lime in your water to begin with, it can't get out to clog your heater core! So use distilled!
