  • The age to start breeding depends on the size of the rabbit which you didn't mention. The oldest a doe can be depends on her condition and if she has been bred before. Does get fat as they age, much more so when they aren't bred. And the fat isn't just body fat, it's fatty deposits around their ovaries that make it impossible for them to ovulate. No eggs get expelled. But I'd say the oldest I would seriously try to breed a doe would be about 14-15 months of age, though I would prefer to start doing it at her appropriate age for her breed or size.
