My Xbox turns on by itself when I plug it in and it won't turn off, my power botton won't work either. It only turns off by itself. What is wronge?

im not sure, but maybe something got stuck when u pressed the power button. im asking questions myself so dont take my word for it

Ever found a fix for this ? I ran into the same issue where the xbox powers on by itself and cannot be powered off using the power button. It does using the XBMC power off though.

i found a rather unorthodox answer to this question when i encountered it myself. press the power button twice which will make it shut off, it will power back up again on its own if you dont press it once more.
