Ocean. Feelin the waves.
-
Ocean. There are more places to go fishing, good waves are more likely to be there, and more things to do. Mini-golf, boardwalk, shopping, walking on the waterfront.
-
An ocean.
-
I would rather be by a river or lake, preferably in the mountains.
-
A river, definitely. Oceans scare me because of the hurricanes. Plus, I really love the mountains. Ever seen the movie "A River Runs Through It"? That's what I want!!
-
Both. I live 1/2 mile from the river and one mile from the Atlantic Ocean.
-
I'd rather live by the St. Lawrence River or Lake Louise, Alberta. I at least I think so. Those places can get a wee bit on the cold side during the winter. :o Lake Louise:
-
On a small lake, surrounded by trees with no people around for miles. Paradise.

I grew up at the beach and never lived far from it until just 4 years ago. Never thought I could leave it. But I do love the mountains and lakes and streams much better. I love the peace of the high places and the freshness of the air. Now we live on a large pond with a stream and I don't regret leaving the beach behind.

I live on a fast-running creek. Or shall I say ... on a 75' bluff that overlooks a creek and wildlife sanctuary. I have lived "on water" for the past 35 years or so, why would I willingly switch? I would NEVER live on the ocean for reasons made obvious by hurricane Ike. I suppose I could if it were on a high cliff overlooking the Pacific, however. (US location only) Lakes would be my preference -- preferably on an eastern shore, so that I could enjoy the sunsets. ;-)

The ocean. It's so relaxing.
-
the ocean, i love the smell of the sea and the sound is so relaxing.
-
Give me the river or lake anytime .... when those hurricanes strike land and you live ON the ocean ... You don't stand a chance and your Homeowners Insurance Goes UP - UP - UP ...
-
I LIVE NEAR THE RIVER AND THE OCEAN WITH A LAKE NEARBY IN WARM COUNTRY IN THE NORTHWEST.
