I believe it was "A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: the Dream Master." I remember seeing it in the theaters and Wikipedia is telling me it was released in 1988, so I suppose I was about 5 years old. I loved that stupid movie. I used to watch it damn near every day when it came out on video.

I definitely remember watching some of the Leprechaun movies, but I don't remember what happened in them now. Same with the Child's Play movies. Other than that...I don't recall many scary movies as a kid. ALTHOUGH I WAS A TALES FROM THE CRYPT FANATIC. Heavens.
-
Child's play was also the first scary movie i watched. I had a huge doll that looked just like Chucky, he had overalls, and red hair and freckles. That doll and every other stuffed animal was thrown out of my room that night, and the chuckie look alike was terminated. I'm still mad at my DAD for letting me see it! http://rackjite.com/archives/1686-Spooky-antique-Florida-doll,-inspiration-for-Chuckie-will-see-you-now.html

I don't know the name of it, but I can describe it..there was fog all around, and someone was walking toward the camera...limping, dragging one foot, walking ever so slowly. I was probably about 3..I don't know why this terrified me, but I had nightmares about the fog, limping man and what would happen after he revealed himself! Pretty tame these days! :) Happy Tuesday! :) ((hugs))

Honestly, I think my parents played horror movies all the time when I was born. I've seen nearly every old horror movie. We used to have scary movie marathons and watch 5 or 6 back to back. I honestly can't remember my first.

The Birds. I was eight and watched it w/my older brother while my mom was gone. Creepy afterwards, as I went outside in the middle of the afternoon and nobody else was outside and there was a lone black bird, either a crow or a raven, sitting on the power lines. Gave me the heebie jeebies. I've run faster in my life but not by much.

I was six and was over at my grandparents. This movie came on TV during the afternoon. It was an old B&W Japanese movie. It had something to do with a monster in a mine. The tension was building as a group of miners were wading through a flooded section, then suddenly one by one they were all pulled under the water... That's when my Mother called me for diner. I had nightmares for weeks over that movie. Hope this helps.

There has only been 2 movies that ever gave me nightmares, in my whole life, G., ... "House of Dark Shadows" (a motion picture from the t.v.show, and Barnabas went "bite-happy"), and, believe it or not, "Bonnie & Clyde" (when Dunaway and Beatty got "blown-away" there at the end, it stuck with me)!
