I've only worn two "uniforms" in my life..I was a Brownie..that was the first..then in gym class the shorts/white top. I don't know if I felt "important" as a Brownie..I was 8 years old. In high school, I would much rather have skipped gym class..an athlete I'm not! :) ((hugs))

Only my superhero uniform.

In my current job sometimes I'm required to wear coat and tie. It did make me feel important.

I've only got my school uniform. Which just makes me feel young and unimportant, really :) I'm sure if I had like a police uniform or something it'd be different.

According to much psychological research, someone wearing a uniform of an authority figure acts more authoritative. So, the answer is yes, it can.

It probably depends on status. Young, low-educated persons like restaurant workers (waiters boys/waitressess girls/kitchen boys/girls) and domestic workers (maid girls/nanny girls/cleaner girls) often hate the uniforms, the boys hate the shirts and ties and the girls hate the skirts and blouses many of them have to wear.

No, it only makes doing the job easier, cleaner, saying neater.

Yes, like a bus drivers uniform. LOL
