Please don't hold this against me for answering. A pimp might approach young girls who look like runaways and tell them they have a opportunity for them to make a lots of money and maybe even become famous. All they have to do is date some older men and have a couple of laughs with them. They will befriend the girls, buy them clothes, meals, and a place to stay then force them into prostitution because they now "owe" the pimp. This after awhile becomes from "owe" to "own" and it's hard for the girls to escape. For foreign women tourists like Japanese, Korean, or Chinese, after befriending them, they take away their passports and are forced into prostitution because they can't get home because they have no passport and can't go to the authorities.
