  • The total assessed value for land in Manhattan was $169 billion in 2004. (http://www.radicalcartography.net/?manhattan-value) It would probably be higher today for a number of reasons, also, this does not consider the value of improvements, such as office buildings, homes and infrastructure. If you can get your hands on a NYC budget -- it probably lists the total assessed value of land and improvements -- but I can't find it.
  • $169 billion in 2004. Pretty good for something the indians did not want 400 years ago- they thought they were stealing those beads and stuff from the white man. (Those indians were the first racists in America).
