also read at http://forum.ecoustics.com/bbs/messages/4/473042.html It's very simple. HOLD Mode+Scan down until 1000 flashes on the radio display. Then use buttons 1-4 to key in your code. For example, if your code is say....0596, then you press button [1] once, then press [2] 5 times, then[3] 9 times, and finally [4] 6 times. The radio should then come on automatically. Hope this helps

If you want the code, you need to go to your VW dealer. I got a VW radio for my non-VW car (long story) and they ran the serial number on the radio and gave me the unlock code for free.
