  • I hope that you have taken the kitten to the vet by now. Eye discharge is symptomatic of infection and that can be very dangerous in any cat, but especially in a kitten. As to what kind of infection it really takes a vet to tell you; there are bacterial infections, viruses, infections of the cornea, the eye lid,you name it. Clearing an eye infection is not difficult if you do not let it go on. Not treating it can result in secondary infection and damage to the eye that can render your kitten blind.
  • The only way to be sure of what it is would be to pop it to the vets,and at least set your mind at rest.
