  • I see mixed couples everyday. And yes, I see myself in one. That's the only kind of relationship I could see myself being in. I've always took interest in dating interracially, and if I was married, it would be outside my race. One day, you might see me in the bm/ww combination. I would not let ignorance stop or discourage me.
  • I don't see them that often. But I can't really see myself in one. Not because I wouldn't though; it would be quite interesting.
  • I don't discriminate when it comes to a potential mate. I imagine it all the time.
  • I don't really take much notice since I am used to it. I am in an interracial relationship but not black and white. He's Italian and I'm Japanese - but it's funny because we don't realize we're different race until someone points it out.
  • I have been in 2 myself.Skin colour or ethnic group I pay little attention to,and it is more interesting then dating in my own race.
  • I see it all the time. It's very common where I live. I have been in an interracial relationship. I don't give rat's a** what color/ethnicity/culture my friends/lovers are.
  • I see white women with black men all the time. I seldom see a black woman with a white man. I do not see myself in such a relationship as I am a white woman married to a white man.
  • It's rather common around here to see white woman/black man interracial couples, though it's very rarely the other way around. Personally, I could easily see myself part of an interracial couple.
  • Seeing it does not bother me at all and if I met and enjoyed the company of a person from a different ethnicity I would date them . I like people not race religion or creed. it is not something that i have any problems with.
  • All the times as we know a few. They are our friends and I see many in town.
  • Well, I am in an interracial relationship. I have seen many interracial relationships. Interracial relationships are normal to me. Then again, I do live in a multicultural city.
  • Out of curiousity why is it always black&white that captures attention. I see many that probably go unnoticed because they are hispanic & asian, white & asian, white & hispanic, black & hispanic, black & asian, islander & any of the before mentioned.
  • In my town I don't see hardly any, but there are some in Indy. I see more black men with white women than the reverse situation, though I WAS in one for a little over a year (and SHE had been married to a white man for years.)
  • I'm in an intercultural relationship. Race is a very weak concept. More correctly, we are of the human race made up of different cultures. The difference in DNA between different cultures is about .01%, while the differences within a given culture can range around .03%. So thinking about us in terms of "race" is meaningless, but so many people really believe in different races, and therein lies the problem or so called division.
  • My sister is married outside her race. I hate that idiot she married, but has nothing to do with race. He'd be an idiot no matter his race.
  • I see it all the time. And yeah, I've been in interracial relationships.
  • I am in an interracial relationship. I rarely see it because people mostly like to date people of their own race. I don't really see things in those terms because I like whoever I like regardless of color.
  • I see plenty of couples of different races. And if I could just find my "soulmate" this time, I don't care what "race" he is!
  • Where I grew up I never saw an interracial couple or for that matter no other race but white. That was in the 60's 70's. Now I see the odd one. Guess it just depends where you live. And I didn't mean odd in a bad way, just out of the ordinary is all. About the interracial relationship, never really thought about it.
  • They are everywhere I go. It almost seems as if there are more interracial couples than intraracial(? IDK what it's called) couples. That may be due to the fact that I am in the most diverse city in America, Sacramento. I guess you could say that every relationship that I have been in is interracial because I am multi-racial. I'm Black, White, and Latino.
  • When we lived in the Baltimore/Wash DC area and in San Diego, I saw them more frequently. I live in NC see now and see it alot less (white & black), but my husband is active duty military and we see lots of interracial and multi-cultural families through the military.
  • I was born and raised in Queens, NY and I didnt see it a whole lot but I did see it. I moved to NC 2 years ago and I see it alot. Lately white men and black women. I say "what ever make one happy".
  • It's pretty often where I live at. I could see myself in a mixed relationship.
  • I see myself in an interracial relationship: I live in Venezuela, and here we don't make differences between black and white people, but I'm very attracted by asian girls :)
  • I'm white and periodically date several women outside my race. They'd be keepers no matter what their "flavor".
  • maybe twice a week.Usually when I am in wal*Mart
  • Every day I wake up and look at the photo of my girlfriend and I. We have a family at church with a black guy and white women. Yes I do see myself in an interracial relationship and hopefully marriage. :-)
  • I see almost all combinations of couples except white men and black or dark skinned women. Aside from my own relationship,(I'm a brown skinned Latina) and my fiance's brother (who is dating a VERY dark skinned African American girl)yeahhhh I'd have to say we are the only ones in town. Dosen't really matter I've lived in several diffrent states including LA and NYC and I almost can't recall seeing the white guy hanging all over the dark girl.
  • was married to a West Indian woman, described later as 'was very beatiful and very mad, alas now just very mad!) it was an experience, both good and quite a lot bad, but an experience none the less. at a hotel in Saint Lucia where we lived I often noticed 'covert' racism by white guests when she went to order a drink, one 'pop star's' mother pushed in front of her as if she wasn't there, we had the last laugh, We owned the hotel, so rest of this woman's stay she was always served last. My wife spoke very cultured BBC english, which was more than this ignoramus did.
  • I see them all the time. I am from an area where it is common to see interracial couples. I even have them in my family with kids too. I don't see myself in one ever but that is just my opinion there.
  • i see it often, and yes i would, as long as the person is honest, loving caring, supportive thats all that matters to me in a relationship.
  • I see it quite often. It doesn't bother me at all, and I'm looking forward to be in one.
  • I don't see black and white together really often, but I do see lots of other interracial couples. I am Armenian and my boyfriend is Mexican, so yes. =]
  • I have an interractial brother in law and sister in law, I see them often. Im married so I have no relationship;LOL
  • My good friend is married to an african/american man and she's white. I see them a lot. It's totally normal.
  • I've noticed that where I live, interracial couples are very rare. It doesn't bother me to see interracial couples because I think that people should marry for love, and not skin color. I'm attracted to Mexican guys, but I don't label them as being another "race." I love their dark skin, but it's what's inside that attracts me above all. I've dated white guys and black guys but I really love latin men.
  • its very common in GB - mostly white women with black men
  • I don't understand why society has been so hostile to interracial couples in the past... it's refreshing that some people are open minded though. In the Bible it says there's no difference in the races, not proselytizing but pointing out that God doesn't think of people as a skin color first, but judges a person's heart. In the Bible, I think it was Moses (sorry i can't remember) who married a woman of a different race, and his sister Miriam wrongly criticized the marriage
  • My mother is dating a latino, my father is married to an asian, and my sister has a child with and is dating a black guy. My family is the freaking melting pot. :)
  • The relationship to end all relationships in my life was with a black man. We were together nearly 6 years. I am currently married to a mexican. I am white.
  • I dont see them too often. I was once in one. I liked it very much. He was 6'5 and very good looking. (he just called, we're on the phone now)
  • Fairly often. And it doesn't bother me in the least. My uncle who is caucasian married a Japanese woman and they had three children. Since these cousins were roughly our age we spent time together. The only unusual thing was how uncommonly good looking they are. My one cousin is the most beautiful woman I have ever seen. When one of our children married I know I will be more concerned over things like values, compatibility, and job status. Race I don't care about.
  • I don't know how often I see them... like it depends where I go and stuff. But in a big city like where I live there's a lot. I know some of my neighbors are an interracial couple, the husband is polish and the wife is korean and their kids are really cute! lol. And just today I did see a black man and a white woman couple on the bus! They looked too young to be married though. I do see myself in a interracial marriage too, most likely anyway, because I'm not really attracted to people of my race...
  • Fairly often. And my last three relationships were interracial.
  • I have been in one for the past 12 years, she is Asian and I am Sicilian.
  • I see interracial couples quite often. Usually its a black man and a white woman. I could see myself in an interracial relationship. Though my friends tease about it and my family, I wouldn't mind being with someone not of my race
  • Quite often actually. Do I see myself in an interracial relationship? Maybe, if I liked the girl, sure, why not?
  • I see it alot in the area I live in, its not unusual at all anymore..I myself am currently in a interracial relationship I am white and my b/f is black, and I have biracial children..so I can definitley see myself in one, because I am..my mother and father got divored and my mom remarried a black man and truth be told, him and his family treat me better than my own family do..I think that the color of the skin does not matter if you really love someone..I mean I could be with a white man but what if he beat me or cheated on me constantly..would it be better for me just because he's white? I think that just sounds crazy..If God didnt intend for different races to come together and fall in love we wouldnt be able to make babies together =] just my opinion
  • Occasionally,I do.I saw a black man white woman last week. When I was single I dated a man outside my race.
  • I live in a highly multi-ethnic city (nearly 50% non-white) and I see black men with white woman everyday. What upsets me is that I hardly ever see a white man with a black woman. Assuming that what I see on the streets is an accurate representation of the trends, somethings not right, but I have no idea what, it could be many things. I just wish racism would go away and we would stop adding values to skin colour, good or bad, and just see people for how they behave ... I guess thatsa long way off though.
  • Funny you would ask. Every year around this time, my family usually travels outside the state. Once we leave the state of Maryland we see A LOT of interracial couples as well as people of ethnicity we NEVER see at home. Makes me wonder what kind of backward ass time warp MY state is stuck in.
  • It's very common in my hometown. Where I live now, diversity is not an option.
  • Quite often, black men with white women and black woman with white men. I have been in interracial relations a few times.
  • It's refreshing that a lot of people on these forums can see past "race" but I wish that society were more accepting of people who date outside their ethnic group. If you're lucky enough to enjoy mutual love, the hell with society, lol. I've learned that if I care too much what others think then I'll just be unhappy forever, life's too short. So if you're a black guy or girl and want to date white people, or vice versa, go for it, life was meant to be shared with someone you love, not someone society picks out for you.
  • In Bali its quite normal to see interracial couples. they all from different countries, like japanese with australian or american or another caucasian countries. Japanese and indonesian, indonesian and australian american or another caucasian countries.. So i see a lot of them and often and its wonderful. i also see the black man and the white women together but not so many in Bali. my x bf was denish for 4 years..
  • In london many couples are mixed, no one thinks twice about it... the way it should be...proably same in other cities around the world where it is multicultural. Also not all mixed couples are black men with white women....there are lots of Polish white men with black women Asian women black men asian men black girls asian men white women asian women white men chinese girls white men chinese boys black girls mixed girls mixed men mixed girls asian men mixed boys black girls etc etc ..
  • I live in *********,******* which is a highly multi-ethnic city, in fact I think we are projected to be the first ** city to be 'white minority'. I see mixed couples everyday, it's nothing unusual and I think it's a good thing but the only problem I have is the ratio of white woman with black men compared to black woman with white men. It's SO lobsided that I'm fearful that racism, or at least 'racialised thinking' is playing it's part somehow. I have had a very strong attraction to an afro-carab woman a couple of years ago but didn't let her know how I felt despite her being very friendly with me. I often see asian (indian & oriental) woman that are HOT. Damn I wish I was, I'd be exploring more than the cuisine ;)
  • I see interratial relationships. I am a white female dating a persian man.
  • Where I live I see inter-racial couples all the time and it is primarily a white woman with a black man. I see them together everyday and yes I also date a black man who is awesome! Most of my friends as well have been in or are currently in inter-racial relationships. After BM/WF I would say I see white males with asian women or Black males with asian women
  • A lot. CA here, we are pretty fair=minded.
  • I see it often. More in some parts of the country than others. I think it's important to remember that everyone has a story. I think alot of interracial couples get looked at as if they're different than any other couple, like they have to operate differently. Truth be told they do have unique experiences to being interracial, but every couple has something that they experience. Whether it is being from different religious backgrounds, races, or economic situations. But the same fundamental truths to making the relationship work still stand. I'm in an interracial relationship. I hope to marry him one day. =]
  • Honestly i see it almost everywhere, the world is going to become mixed. Its a lucky thing because they will have the best of both world's. Color is nothing, as long as your a happy human being =]
  • i see way more black women with white men and i could see myself with a black women because i wake up with one everyday
  • To answer the first two questions everyday, and i am engaged to a handsome little dominican man
  • i live in NY and i see so many different types of couples all the time, i could definitly see myself in an interracial relationship. i'm mixed myself so whoever i'm with it'll mixed alrady :)
  • I am a dark skinned Black American female and my husband is a white Turk; we're both highly educated and there is a six year age gap. My only issue is that I love to support those who love others that have been constantly derided by this American society. Those people such as Black females or Asian men who have, for some reason or another, not been considered as a valuable commodity as a potential life partner. I found the statistics in this Wikipedia article based on the US 2006 Census interesting; and, it makes me wonder if I want to raise my children (since I have the option of Turkey) in a mainstream America that seems to still be suffering the aftershock of Reconstruction? Here is the article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Interracial_marriage
  • I'm not sure if i'm in one now- my wife is Hispanic and I am white- is that considered interracial?
  • 2nd Kings 5, Leviticus 13-15, and Numbers 12
  • Before interracial couples werent really open but now you see alot of black men with asian women, white men with black or indian women. Or as in gay couples you see alot of black and white women toqther. My current qf is white.
  • I have a friend in an interracial marriage. They seem real happy and been together for years.I see alot where I live.Lately I`ve seen the most at little league games.Probably because they are together there more,as a family activity...I have heard bad comments against it but it`s none of their business...I am married so I don`t see myself in any other relationship.
  • Everyday because I'm in one. Everyday on the black men and white women, but I'm white. And yes, because Im in one.
  • I live in an area with an overwhelming white majority. Hence, I've never seen a black-black couple though I've seen a few black men with white women and vice versa. The black minority would be seriously narrowing theiroptions if they insisted on dating only other blacks. It would be like me insisting I would only date redheads :-) My boyfriend's best friend is a black caribbean guy and he is married to a white woman (they are in their fifties now). Another man I know has a white father and a black caribbean mother who have been married for fifty years. If I liked a black guy on a personal level, the fact that he was black wouldn't come into it. Though dammit I want those sweet red haired kids lol so I need to find an Irish guy to breed with :-)
  • im in an interracial relationship. im white, he is peruvian.
  • I'm a black woman who dates only white men and I love it. My personality is bubbly and I never have a bad day. My ex-boyfriend roomate of 2 and half years is so cool. We are both over 40 years old and love starbucks coffee.
  • I also see them all the time. I am in one now. My fiance and I have been in our relationship for 8 years. I am a white woman and he is a black man.
  • Not in my country, we are pretty much all boring white people here, that's why I travel, I want to meet different people and races, and learn more. :) I see myself in a loving relationship - race really isn't important to me.
  • I rarely see them, I live in a mostly White neighborhood. I wouldn't date interracially, personally.
  • not that often but ive seen them, i dont see anything wrong with it
  • I have a black dude friend who likes white women I wasn't attracted to him though. If it was Shemar Moore, Denzel Washington ,or Steve Harvey I'd be all over that! One of my girls (not by birth) is black and she's not attracted to black men. My ex daughter- in-law is white and she's with a black man. So, yeah, I've seen it.
  • Quite honestly, it's been a long time since I noticed what color anyone is. I have had relationships with a wide range of people.
