YES! Best thing that's ever happened to me. I'm allergic to tobacco smoke. Totally closes my lungs.
-
Our country does.
-
Indiana and yes they do! Not only in public places (which by the way, I think is a great idea) but now they have gone to telling restaurants they have to be smoke free (which, I don't agree with)
-
Well I live in Québec, ''canada'' and yes it his prohibited to smoke in anywhere that is public. I started smoking cigars everyday right when the law passed. I'm disapointed for the bars.... but at the same time, I'm happy for the restaurants, malls etc.. because its much better this way. I still think bars should allow it though.

Yes. I'm amazed how well New Yorkers have adjusted to it, but it's happening.
-
Yep and now smokers are running into problems standing on the sidewalks smoking and being accused of loitering.
-
not yet, but it is possible it could happen
-
yes,I'm a smoker and i'm glad they banned smoking in public places. At least non smokers can now enjoy their food, drink, etc like they should have been able to in the first place
-
yes it was just passed in Feb. I really do not mind it but out front of one cafe it is so gross and there are just tons of butts thrown all over the side walk and street frankly i think they should just let them smoke in doors again to save our streets from looking like that.
-
Yep. It's enforced where I live :)
-
Yes, here in Ohio
-
This is not an enforeable law, by the police, in the State of Tennessee. Its civil and enforced by workers for the State of Tennessee. The fine is just $2.00

Been in effect for a long time in NY. As a non smoker I am much happier about it. You don't realize how much smoking really affects how you feel until you hang out with smokers. I went to a party (obviously not a public place) but a guest brought her son so all smoking was done outside the house. When the kid left the smoking started and I couldn't even breathe. I never realized, when I was working in bars and there was no ban, how it really hurt me, even being a non-smoker.

We have a Smoking ban in Florida. I've had smoke blown in my face after mentioning I do not like it and the person responsible for it looks at you funny as if they did nothing wrong to you. Well, how about I bend over, ram my ass in your face and toot toot! I did noting wrong. Toot.

Overall, California does not have a state law. However, many cities in Southern California ban public smoking. Such as Burbank, Glendale, and Santa Monica.
-
FLORIDA ; and YES we do ..
-
im not exactly sure its my state. im pretty sure its just my city. and they seem to be enforced pretty well. but not by law enforcement but by the owners of the smoke free establishments.
-
Yup. Used to be just buildings and such...now it's also extending to state parks. So many feet from the water, so many feet from the buildings. One beach in my area is going to be left with a 5 foot or so wide strip for people to smoke in.
