I don't understand the question. Please restate in comments. If cannot wake the person when this is happening then maybe my experience would help. My sleeping partner has a dream seizure - it only happens at night but I get awakened with a kick in the head. I turn on the lights and unseeing eyes are darting back and forth with head turned sideways. I think turning on the lights brings him out of it quicker.

Does not sound paranormal to me. sounds more like night terrors which is a sleeping disorder. I could not be certain not seeing it first hand but I would seek medical help for sleep disorders. Many disorders can be treated easily. Best of luck.

I agree with the Sleep Disorder Theory. Your PCP can schedule a sleep study.
