I purchased some tickets at school for the family for an opera on a Saturday. We got there at 6:30 pm expecting to start at 7pm. Well the tickets were actually for that Saturday but at 2pm, earlier show. I could not believe that in all the days I did not check to verify the time. I had just tried to remember the information from a list that I got when ordering the tickets and I remember incorrectly. The school price was small the price at the door was out of my reach. I was very embarrassed. ------------------------------------Another one---- We could not find our 8 year old niece. I had to pick a sheet of the floor in the bedroom. As I turned around the bed, she was laying on the floor half naked on top of the 4 year old cousin, also partly naked. I did not talk to him or get close to her. I told her to come to me by the door. She fixed herself and came to me. I reprimanded her at a low tone of voice and told her she would be punished for 5 days and not be allowed to have friends visit her. She nodded in agreement. I told her mom, but she denied it to the mom and the mom pretty much sided with her. The next day the mom had reduced her punishment to 2 days. I was just happy that some kind of punishment was employed. It kind of reminded me of the times that as young child I played doctor and nurse and did not get caught. Once or twice that I got caught my mom would let me persuade her that it was just something else or that I was not doing anything. I think that for both of us this was easier than to deal with the reality of what was really going on. Young children are naturally very curious.

Almost every minute I spent with my stepmother and stepsister when I was between 10 and 14. My stepsister's goal in life seemed to be my humiliation, and her mom drew great pleasure from it as well.
