If it doesn't, it's questionable whether one should call it "music".
-
some time it does
-
my emotions effect my music. it depends on my mood as to what i listen to. i don;t listen to music to change my emotions.
-
Absolutely. It can even affect me physically if it is powerful enough.
-
usually i pick a song to listen to because of the mood i'm already in. but if i hear a song at random it can take my mind somewhere else depending on what it is. but generally speaking music only intensifies the emotion that i'm feeling
-
yes it does.
-
What makes people cry in a sad movie is not so much the sad event, but rather the music that's playing in the background.
-
I hope so. I often use it for inspiration, reflection, moodiness and when I need to emotionally defrag.
-
It certainly does indeed :)
-
Yeah a lot, i guess thats why i love music so much.
-
Yes it does. I have my "Go crazy" playlist, my "release some tension" playlist, my "get happy now" playlist, etc.
-
Music has a big time affect on my mood. Sometimes I listen to music to cleanse a little. Sometimes I listen to change the mood I'm in, to make it better or even to make it worse. I love listening to music on the way into work, just to get me pumped up for the day. Next time you are feeling a little down or a little blue put on the #1 song on the pop or dance charts and I bet it helps, unless it's sad, lol.

You must not be a country music lover. I call country music, suicide music. As you have gathered, i do not like country music in any form.
-
Definitely! Music moves me! Interestingly, whatever's happening in my life at the moment, there always seems to be a current song on the radio about it. Now, I'm not superstitious and I don't believe anything psychic is going on; I realize that it's just coincidence; but it just seems so uncanny at times.
-
I don't think it affects our emotions strictly speaking. It seems to me that certain musical pieces become associated with specific emotional times in our lives. Once associated they will forever remind us of those times and emotions, be they good or bad.
-
Some times good music, what ever may be the language, makes me emotionally charges and even brings tears in my eyes.
-
Oh yea. Especially classical music which calms me.
-
What emotions?
-
Of course it does and sometime my emotions can influence what it is that I listen to as well. And just because I have one emotion for a certain song it doesn't mean it is always the same everytime I hear that song.
-
oh yes it's like a drug for me after a stressful day. My ipod and a glass of wine. Classical music affects my mood especially.
