I would think that their own ethics would not allow them to do that..unless you mean "know you from a previous court appearance"

if know body else knows that then yeah. my little brother was in trouble before and the judge was my dads friend. and he didnt get into much trouble

Legal ethics would make the judge declare the relationship. Depending on what the relationship is and the availability of another judge (usually not an issue), they may recuse themselves. There is no law that requires him or her to be or not be your judge. Tell your lawyer and he/she will post the objection. Odds are, that judge will never hear your case.
