One of my wooden ones has the name of a NY City hotel printed on it, with a pre-Zip code designation of "West" or something like that, so it's from the '50s or early '60s.

I'm not exactly sure. I started with 2. Then I kept hearing this sort of clanky, breathy sound after lights out. Next thing I know I have a closetful of hangers! ~Z=)
