Harry Potter never wrote anything, so I don't. I also don't read anything by J. K. Rowling.

Me. I read the first four, in an attempt to build a relationship with my mother, who is incapable of human affection. She had a mild infatuation with the idea of possibly reading them. Never happened. I suffered the whole way... after being raised on Tolkien by my father, I found the stories pale and cliché. ||//_

I was sitting at the train station yesterday next to a well-dressed intelligent-looking man. He then pulled a Harry Potter book out of his briefcase and started reading it. In my mind he went from an intelligent-looking man to a big kid! What is it about Harry Potter? A friend gave me one of the books. I got to about page 20 before throwing it out for recycling.

Maybe if I was child or a teenager I would read, but if you are groun-up ,you had not any wish at all to read it.

I havent read it at all. The funny thing is that there was a craze over the harry potter books and when me and my mum went shopping i put the book in the trolley and then we came up to the paying area i had doubt i would even read the thing so i just took it out and from this day i havent really read a single word let alone a book of harry potter. But the film is better!

I haven't yet. I'd like to, but there's a million other things I want to read more, so who knows if I'll ever get that far down my list. As for the movies, I haven't really seen them. They seem long. I don't really watch many movies because for the most part I don't have three hours to spare.

I DON"T! And i like it that way. but i have read most of the twilight series.(Stilling waiting to get the forth book) But the reason i thought i never liked harry potter was because it was so BIG. But obviously when i attempted the book it wasn't because of the length of the book because i flew through the twilight series. (so far) but it was the fact that it was just so boring.

Sorry, never been interested in the Potter series. Something about watching kids on broomsticks was kind of off putting. I know it's debatable watching a child turn into a master wizard but I guess I'd rather watch it when he becomes an adult..........

I don't LIKE harry potter. However I read all the books , because I stand by the principle that before you insult something you better know it. If you just read the book you can't tell everyone "I read the whole series and I still think they're a load of ****".

If I was a young kid, I would. I think it's great for them, but I can't get involved in hundreds and hundreds of pages of this. I mean there are volumes. I think it's really good though, I'm into a bit more heavy fare these days, being 58.

I tried the first few pages of the first book and did not approve. So, I set it down and refused to pick it up again. I am glad I did. Forget all this "fad" book stuff... read literature that suits your own individual tastes.
