Britney Spears is a perfect example of why something needs to be done about the media.Media should not be allowed to just dog a person to death.Media is supposed to be neutral.Media is supposed to report the news good and bad.More examples of why something needs to be done with the media would be Paris Hilton,Lindsey Lohan,Dog the bounty hunter.Another big example would be how the war in Iraq is reported...we should be given the un-biased truth good and bad.

i think everyone gives britney an unfair 'tag' She was pushed into stardom from an extremely young age and then people wonder why she is still behaving in an imature way...she has not had a childhood because her selfish parents chose to not allow her one...lets face it any child would love what her parents told her what she would get...i.e stardom, money, fame, every girl in the whole world to want to be her. Who would not want that at 13/14 or whatever she was....i think there are reasons behind her erratic behaviour and to be honest is she really like that all the time? just because there are photos of her drunk etc...does that mean she is like that every day? I could have photos taken of me a little worse for wear however i am a very responsible parent who works 9-5 but goes out about once or twice a month....i say give britney a break

I feel bad for Britney. She used to be the Media Darling and Pop Princess but then the world turned on her soon after she and Justin split up. I don't think she's a bad person; just someone that got famous way to early in life and didn't get proper education or guidance. I would say that Britney Spears is a perfect example of a child star that never grew up. She spent all of her teen years performing and touring and making money for her family and never got to be a kid. Now she is in her twenties and acting out like a teenager because she never had a childhood! The biggest mistake she ever made was getting married to K-fed, and having two children. In my opinion she should have waited to raise a family until her 30's after producing more album. I think she would have been more mature and able to handle the pressure.

I'd say she is a perfect example of many things, but the inability of people to mind their own business is the biggest. The complete lack of empathy we have for those going through troubled times is another. Our huge need to prop up our own egos by judging and defaming another is also perfectly displayed by the Britney Spears fiasco, as is the complete stigma we attach to any type of mental or behavioral illness.

What can happen to a person when they have success too young and without guidance. I see that her younger sister is also having problems. I am starting to wonder if her parents were a problem too by not teaching her to take care of herself. Britney really seemed to clean up her act when her Dad stepped in to help her. Perhaps she never learned how to be a responsible adult because her parents, agents, etc. always took care of everything for her.
